What should be the duration of stay in Canada for Visitor Visa holders?
The duration of stay in Canada for foreign visitor is up to six months. The border service officer can allow the visitor to stay for more or less than six months, which is finalized based on the stamp on passport. However, if there is no such stamp by the officer than you can stay up to six month or until the Passport Expires whichever comes first. In order to stay more than the allowed time, applicant must raise a request for stay extension, at least 30 days prior the expiration of Visitor Visa duration.
